Refund policy

Rum Reef sells digital downloads, digital products, and services. We do not sell physical products that can be shipped back or returned.

Digital Downloads and Digital Products

Except where required by applicable law, all sales of digital downloads and digital products are final once the product, download link, access link, license, file, or other digital content has been delivered or made available.

Because digital products cannot be physically returned after delivery or access, we do not provide refunds, exchanges, or store credit because:

  • You changed your mind
  • You no longer need or want the product
  • You purchased the wrong product
  • You purchased the product by mistake
  • You did not review the product description or requirements
  • You do not have compatible software, hardware, or technical knowledge
  • You have already downloaded, accessed, copied, or used the product

Please review the product description, included files, compatibility information, and other stated requirements before completing your purchase.

Services

Except where required by applicable law, payments for services are final once we begin performing the purchased service.

A service may be cancelled before work begins by contacting us at Support@RumReef.co. Cancellation is not guaranteed if work has already started, resources have been reserved, or access to the service has already been provided.

Any product-specific cancellation terms disclosed before purchase will also apply.

Download or Delivery Problems

If you do not receive your download or access information, first check the email address used during checkout and your spam or junk folder.

Contact us at Support@RumReef.co if:

  • A download link was not delivered
  • A provided link does not work
  • A file is corrupted or cannot be opened
  • The wrong file was delivered
  • A digital product is materially different from its description
  • You were charged more than once for the same purchase

We will first attempt to correct the problem, restore access, replace the file, or provide the purchased product as described.

When we cannot provide a working product or correct a material problem within a reasonable period, we may issue a full or partial refund as appropriate or as required by applicable law.

European Union and EEA Cooling-Off Rights

Consumers located in the European Union or European Economic Area generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without providing a reason.

Immediate Digital Downloads

The 14-day right of withdrawal may end before the withdrawal period expires when:

  • You expressly consent to the immediate delivery or availability of the digital content
  • You acknowledge that delivery or access beginning immediately causes you to lose your right of withdrawal
  • We provide confirmation of your consent and acknowledgment

By requesting immediate access and providing the required acknowledgment during purchase, you agree that the digital content may be delivered before the 14-day withdrawal period ends and that your right to withdraw ends once delivery, downloading, streaming, or access begins.

If the digital content has not been delivered or made accessible and you have not otherwise lost your right of withdrawal, you may notify us within 14 days of the purchase to exercise that right.

Services

For services, the 14-day withdrawal period generally begins on the date the service contract is entered into.

If you expressly request that we begin performing a service during the withdrawal period and then withdraw before the service is completed, you may be responsible for a proportionate amount reflecting the work completed before we received your withdrawal request.

Your right of withdrawal may end once the service has been fully performed if:

  • You expressly requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period
  • You acknowledged that you would lose the right to withdraw once the service was fully performed

Exercising a Withdrawal Right

To exercise an applicable withdrawal right, email Support@RumReef.co before the withdrawal period expires.

Include:

  • Your name
  • The email address used for the purchase
  • Your order number
  • The date of purchase
  • The product or service purchased
  • A clear statement that you are withdrawing from the purchase

You may use the following wording, but it is not required:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the purchase of the following digital product or service: [product or service], ordered on [date], under order number [order number].

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or replaces any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

Customers may have legal rights when digital content or a digital service is defective, unavailable, materially different from its description, or does not function as reasonably expected.

Where applicable law gives you rights that are more favorable than this policy, the applicable law will control.

Refund Processing

When a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method.

The time required for the refund to appear depends on Shopify, the payment processor, your financial institution, and the payment method used.

Original transaction, currency-conversion, or processing charges may be handled according to the payment provider’s rules and applicable law.

Shopify App Purchases

Subscriptions and charges for Rum Reef apps obtained through the Shopify App Store are billed and processed by Shopify.

Cancellation of an app subscription stops future billing according to the app’s billing terms and Shopify’s billing system. Uninstalling or cancelling an app does not automatically create a refund for charges already incurred.

Questions concerning a Rum Reef app charge can be sent to Support@RumReef.co. Shopify may also need to review or process an approved app-charge refund through its billing system.
